Growing up I believed in God but I never knew anything about him. I was raised in a Catholic family but we were never the type of family that would go to church every Sunday. I’ve always known that God is everywhere and we needed to follow the Ten Commandments. Those are the only things I knew. One of the things that would always make me feel bad was that whenever I did something bad I would feel that God cared less about me. All of this changed when I got involved with SunHouse, now called UrbanLife.
Being part of UrbanLife has being a blessing. I’ve been with them since the beginning, and to see where we were to how far we’ve come is amazing! I feel very privileged to be part of the journey. Urbanlife has transformed my life. I now know God truly. I have opened up to people that I never thought I would. Now I am at a place where I am letting God take charge of my life. I have to admit it is hard at times but at the end I know that he has something better in store for me. One of the things I try to live by now is: loving people and serving them.
